Censorship and Bullying Alive and Well in Saskatchewan

I do not agree with what you have to say but I'll defend to the death your right to say it. -- Voltaire

I loathe victimhood, but I enjoy freedom. Thus, I make this post.

On Monday I commented on Sask Health Authorities Facebook thread. This is where they release the updates on new cases, deaths, and so on. I simply stated that today’s numbers were very good, exceptional in fact compared to the 1st of March. I pointed out that the number of tests performed on that reporting day, March 29th had increased were more than double, up 115% compared to March 1st while the positive cases were only up 61%. That, in itself, is a remarkable reduction, as the number of tests are always positively correlated to number of new cases. I also pointed out that the PCR tests run at cycles of 36 which Saskatchewan does, picks up false positives.

I am guessing that SHA does not like good news, at least not on that day. They wanted to back up their decision to lock down Regina. The reaction to my post was an immediate attack by a , "Christopher San Juan." I found later that Christopher San Juan is a fake name ran by a government employee paid by the taxpayers of Saskatchewan to disparage any dissenting voice from the narrative that the state wants you to hear. This my folks is what happens in China and Russia. In Orwell’s book 1984 they are called the thought police. They don't appear to want other people getting new information. An educated public is dangerous.

It was a toxic all out barrage of name calling, bullying, shaming and ridiculous accusations, all intended to intimidate. (and to think this is likely a government employee paid to do this!) I was not surprised I was challenged, but was taken aback that a fellow citizen could be so rude, vile and triggered so easily. I wish I would have taken screen shots.

But then I checked "his/her" profile, and it was evident it was a bot. I have learned from friends this past week that the Provincial government allegedly pays people to post positive posts on their threads regarding this virus to encourage people to get the jab, and then attack anyone with another opinion. Now that I have come to realize it, I spot them on all social media platforms. All you need to do is check their profiles and it is easy to tell.

This is harmless to me, but from a societal point of view this is damn right scary. You don’t have to agree with me to realize I am entitled to my own opinion especially when it is backed by science and research and not just a whimsical emotional opinion. Freedom of speech and debate should be welcomed by all and I hope most of us in Canada still believe in that concept.

The ability to defend one’s position should be an honour, not have thugs chase away any dissenters, that is what dictatorships do. I wasn’t hateful, racist or anything but honest. To limit public discourse is shameful. Social media is/was, the new town square, especially with the guidelines that opposes public gatherings. What is the government afraid of? Why not debate.

Democracy demands debate. Logical and respectful opinions should be discussed, and positions defended, from both sides. That is the true spirit of Democracy!

Communism stifles debate and silences all critics.

We all have a choice, we all have cognitive thinking ability, we are Divine beings with Sovereign rights, we just need to remember how to apply it.

Yours in love of this great province we call Saskatchewan
